    Hello, the security plugin “WP Hide & Security Enhancer” says that the file burst-statistics-endpoint.php is a PHP executablefile, a dangerous file which may contain valuable pieces of information regarding my environment. Any idea to avoid this security issue or security alert?

    Hi @whichtransfers,

    This is a false positive. The endpoint does not contain or publish information. It is part of Burst Statistics, and ensures that visits on your website are stored in the database. It cannot be used for other purposes than tracking visits.

    To avoid the alert you can contact the developer of the plugin that generates the alert and ask them to update their plugin accordingly.
