Button color customization is overwritten

    I have seen this topic show up multiple times in older threads here, but for me it is not resolved.
    I’m able to customize button colors in the theme customization, and they show up in the preview, but as soon as I publish the customization or any page, the button colors go partially back to default. They are still shown as changed in the customization menu (i.e. it looks as if my changes are saved, but they don’t show up in previews or live views, probably overwritten by something I can’t access atm).

    I can successfully change some of the colors, but not all of them (background hover for example reverts to default as soon as I leave the customization page).


    I have the newest version of Sydney and I’m customizing one of the starter sites (eLearning tutor). Thanks for any help!

    Thanks for replying.

    Yes, sharing the page would be much easier, but this a project I’m doing for a friend, and I don’t have her permission to publish it until it’s done.

    I can link to an unchanged sample page, the offending button is in the upper right corner since it’s part of the main menu. I added a screenshot of my theme customization, button section, right below the menu. You can see that it only keeps part of my changes.

    Thank you for getting back along with extra detail.

    Hi @kharisblank,

    thanks for the suggestion and the helpful documentation! Unfortunately, the global settings in Elementor were already the same I had in the theme customization. It also shows the button colors and settings as they should be, but this is not implemented anywhere outside on the page. I can change the border color, but not the text color and background color of the button; these keep their default colors despite changing and saving new settings.
