Hi,
Cool, thanks for the feedback! It’s an interesting thought, but I think usually with shortcodes a preview is not possible in the standard ‘preview’ window.
You can already easily add buttons with the ‘add button’ button on the posts section. We are also looking into integrating the plugin with visual tools, like leading pagebuilders and the like.
I’m not quite sure what you mean with ‘pencil’ though, so if you care to eleborate a bit more on that, maybe we can work something out.
Tutorials of course are always very welcome! Be sure to email us at support [at] maxfoundry.com when you do.
Hey Bas
More and more plugins are starting to add a preview of what the content really looks like. For instance Caldera Forms current version does not add a preview but the next version under development adds a preview https://github.com/Desertsnowman/Caldera-Forms/tree/current-dev
This means for the specific plugin one clicks to insert a form in the current version a shortcode is added. In the development version a image preview of what the form looks like is seen. Move the cursor over the image preview and an pencil icon alongside the x (for deleting it – the standard move the cursor over image in the content area) is seen.
Btw Maps Builder also has a preview and a lot more features: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/google-maps-builder/
Have a great day!
I’ll take a look at those and how they do it. Thanks for pointing us to this.
