Buttons greyed out
-
Hey everyone.
I just can’t make the tickets work correctly on my Events. I’ve been through the tutorials and have the Calendar and Tickets plugins installed, and linked up to Stripe.
When I make an event with tickets, no matter what I do, the “+” symbol to add tickets and the “Get Tickets” button are greyed out / disabled.
I’ve tried everything suggested by the very limited support team so far (basic theme, disable all plugins, reinstall, disabling the block editor).
It’s probably something simple I’m missing but I don’t know what.Hope you all can help!
Thanks. The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’ve tested for conflicts and get this on my browser console:

Hello @mdhammond, thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear that you’re having this issue here.
Have you tried switching to the default theme? I suspect there’s a conflict with the jQuery declaration here. Please do clear caching after changing the theme.
Let me know how it goes — looking forward to helping you further.
Best,
AbzHi Abz
I’m currently using the default Twenty Twenty-Two theme, if that’s what you mean.
Short of undoing everything I’ve done to customise it, is there anything else I can do?
MatthewI’ve also created some tickets without events (as shown in one of your tutorials) and I now have no way to delete them, as I can’t see them in the back-end.
Could you possibly help me on this?Hi @mdhammond,
Thanks for getting back to me here.

Yes, would also be good if you could do the test for conflicts. See if there’s another plugin that’s causing the issue.
See the article here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/testing-for-conflicts/
I’m also curious, could you provide me the versions of the following here:
1. WordPress
2. The Events Calendar
3. PHPLooking forward to helping you solve this.
Best,
AbzHi Abz
I went through all the plugins and and found an issue with the WordPress standard Page Optimize plugin. I unchecked the Concatenate scripts box as in this image and everything seemed to work fine on the blank Twenty Twenty theme: https://pasteboard.co/9qelI92Pt81r.png
Hurray! Hope that helps others.
Now I can click through to Get Tickets, but it says “There was an error enabling Stripe on your cart.” so I guess I’ll need to look into that next…
Hi @mdhammond, good to know that you did the conflict for testing. I could also suggest a third-party plugin for testing conflicts here, Health Check: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/. I appreciate you providing details here; this would help other users having the same issues.

If you’re using Tickets Commerce please see these articles here:
Implementing Stripe on Event Tickets

https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/setting-up-webhooks-for-stripe-and-tickets-commerce/One important thing to have in mind is that the webhooks validation will not work while Tickets Commerce is in test mode.
Let me know if this helps or if you do have more questions.
Best,
AbzHi Abz
I’ve been through the Webhooks steps but it won’t validate…
I’ve checked test mode is not on, but it just spins and seems to time out.Any ideas?
Matthew
Hi @mdhammond, thanks for getting back to me here. Sorry to hear about this. Let me help you further.
I’m curious, could you try switching to Pretty Permalinks? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/permalinks-best-practices/
After updating, please clear any cache and redo validation steps. Please make sure to follow the steps here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/setting-up-webhooks-for-stripe-and-tickets-commerce/.
Let me know if that makes a difference.
Have a great weekend.
Best,
AbzI’ve done that and it didn’t change anything.
I think I’ll probably have to give up on this and use something else, as I’ve now spent as much time troubleshooting this plugin as I have building the entire rest of the website…
Hi @mdhammond, I’m sorry to hear that, and I understand your frustration. Your initial issue could have been solved with the recommended steps and troubleshooting. I suspect this might be isolated since we do not have users with the same problem yet.
If you still decide to move forward with the investigation, I suggest you send an email to [email protected] and copy-paste your System Information into the email. Our team will get back to you as soon as we can.
Lastly, please make sure that The Events Calendar and The Event Tickets plugins are updated.
Let us know how you would like to proceed.
Best,
AbzHi Abz
I appreciate it wasn’t caught in the first round of my troubleshooting, but I wasn’t expecting it to conflict with part of WordPress itself when it’s marked as compatible with the latest version.
I still also have an issue with not being able to see/delete tickets unassociated with events: https://pasteboard.co/UyYEBGddY4Zh.png
Until I can remove all these test tickets (I can only see the last one in the back end) I can’t use your plugin with confidence.I’m trying to operate on the free version (as I’ve said) so I won’t get any response from Support.
Matthew
Hey @mdhammond
I’m trying to operate on the free version (as I’ve said) so I won’t get any response from Support.
Don’t worry about it! Please send us the email, and mention that Abz asked you to do it here so our Premium Support team will understand that and not redirect you back to that forum!
Hey @mdhammond, this thread has been inactive for a while, so we’re going to go ahead and mark it Resolved. Please feel free to open a new thread if any other questions come up, and we’d be happy to help.
Cheers,
Abz
