not necessarily, but it would be advisable to reconfigure (not aggregating inline JS/ CSS) if/ when the cache goes to 80% in less then a week’s time or so to avoid the cache growing that quickly, as that is a symptom of bigger issues.

It hasn’t grown rapidly, it was I noticed the little circle changed from green to orange since I went to the admin area. Hence, why I wondered if I should clear it.

You can clear it indeed, but -assuming you have enough disk space on your server- you certainly don’t have to. Do make sure any page cache you have is cleared as well though, to avoid cached pages still have references to autoptimized files that were removed.
