Cache and AMP

    Am I correct in assuming that with AMP is installed and working correctly, there is no need or reason to cache AMP pages and one can easily exclude /amp/ or is caching still needed on these pages?

    Hi @mddsharpp,

    Yes, the caching of the AMP pages is done to increase the speed of the AMP pages and caching it on Mobile.
    What do you mean by “one can easily exclude /amp/” can you please elaborate more?

    @encodingjabbar I was just asking if the amp pages can safely be cached by a WP plugin, if they need to be, or if AMPforWP is already doing it.

    I had set an exclude on all AMP pages because I didn’t think they needed to be cached.

    Hi @mddsharpp,

    AMPforWP plugin do not cache the AMP pages, but I would recommend you to use the cache over AMP pages still for more loading speed.
