Cache configuration question

    Hi Raam,

    Just wanted to understand something, I was planning to mount the cache path /wp-content/cache/zencache on RAM disk ‘tempfs’. I believe RAM is faster than disk drives.

    Is this going to improve the speed or is it going to be counter productive in the long run.

    @rudrastays I can’t think of any immediate issues with doing that, so long as ZenCache has no problem writing and deleting cache files from the disk. That said, speeding up disk writing using a RAM disk might not do much to improve the overall speed of your site, as there are many other bottlenecks to consider (network, DNS, web server software, etc.).
