• I don’t know whether it’s out of the scope of this plugin or not, but the caching of gravatars would be a great “opt-in” option for blogs/websites with either a lot of comments or a lot of authors with large blog feeds.

    I’ve seen in some cases the http requests out to secure.gravatar.com take either a long time, or just the sheer volume of calls (in the hundreds!).

    I currently use FV Gravatar cache, which does a great job of caching comment gravatars, but it doesn’t take care of author gravatars, or widget gravatars and based on discussion with their developers, I don’t think it ever will.

    Is this something that you’d be willing to consider adding as “Advanced” functionality?
