Can you briefly explain why users would need to use the Cache Management feature?

Is it needed when you first install or at any other specific times?

And is it just clearing the LLM-speciifc sitemap caches? What about resetting WordPress rewrite rules and forcing sitemap regeneration? Is this all related to your plugin only and not the site’s main sitemap?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi @scot184

The Cache Management feature is primarily used to clear permalink cache. This is especially important right after the plugin is first activated, as it ensures that the necessary rewrite rules are registered so the llms.txt file becomes accessible via a proper URL.

It’s not related to the site’s main sitemap or general caching — it specifically helps with LLMs.txt availability and routing by resetting WordPress rewrite rules and ensuring everything is properly flushed

Got it. I cleared the cache just now but don’t know if it did anything (or needed to be done at all) because I could already see my llms txt file in the sitemap beforehand.

But I am curious when new posts get added to the llms txt file. A new post I wrote today isn’t there yet, but a post from yesterday is.

Thank you again for your help, greatly appreciated!

If the update frequency is set to “Immediate,” your new post should appear live after refreshing the llms.txt URL. To bypass browser caching, append ?nocache to the URL (e.g., example.com/llms.txt?nocache)
