Cache Preload stops working after deactivating and reactivating plugin

I noticed that pages are expiring and being garbage collected but not being re-fetched by W3TC as part of the cache preload process. It was working, but now seems to have just stopped.

I did deactivate the plugin and reactivate it and I’m wondering if this is the cause, as I now don’t see the cron job listed:

Edit: I have confirmed that deactivating the plugin removes the cron entries, but reactivating does not add them again. It’s necessary to re-save the configuration (with the preload option ticked) to have the jobs created.
