With reference to this (Cache Preload questions | ww.wp.xz.cn) post, does it mean when cache preload is enabled, the Garbage collection interval would be ignored?

Thank you for your question and I am happy to help!

No, the Garbage collection interval is not ignored. Once the Preload is finished, the new batch of preload starts according to the Cache preload settings. Once the fresh page is cached, the _old file will remain in the folder until the Garbage collection interval kicks in (default is 1 hour) and delete the _old pages.

Thanks for reply!

Currently I set the Garbage Collection to a very high value (more than a few days) because the content rarely changes even for days sometimes. So how will cache preload work in this case?

Hello @loyukfai

The preload will work the same. As mentioned before, the Garbage collection kicks in only to delete _old files. If there are no _old files, GC will go through the files and repeat the process in the next set time frame.
