Cache system error message

Hi there,

I keep receiving the message below and hope somebody can help:

The WordPress cache system is not enabled!
Please, activate it adding the line of code
define(“WP_CACHE”, true);
in the file wp-config.php just after the define(“WPLANG”, …).

I’ve made the suggested changes in my host file, contacted my host (as I thought they might have to have a look into the file after the message was still on) and have been re-directed back to WordPress.

I’ve scanned through the forum briefly and found a similar entry which was closed but also don’t understand half of the entries as I’m not very tech-savvy when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Does anybody have a suggestion on the next and/or alternative steps I’d have to take and could point me into the right direction? As already mentioned, I changed the file to the code suggested but the error message keeps coming up….
