    Hi!
Atm i’ve a website with ips (ipb suite) and ssl by startssl + cloudflare freessl. All work as expected but i’ve in dev a migration to wordpress.

With wordpress is best to continue to use https or best to back to http?
If i back to http i can use varnish (from host) and supercache plugin (i don’t know if cache plugin can work in https).

Then, I need to choose from ssl for entire website vs a full/good cache system.

    Any feedback for this?
    Maybe https only for backend?

    Thanks in advance,
And sorry for poor English 🙂

  • Use https. Ideally get a wildcard ssl certificate.

I have not used Super Cache but I can’t think of a reason it would conflict with https. I currently use https on a site with Comet Cache + CloudFlare with LetsEncrypt and CF full strict SSL, works great. In the past I also used https with W3 Total Cache without issues. Maybe pose the question on the Super Cache support page to be sure?

    Thanks for reply!
    i don’t know Comet Cache.
i’ve think to use super cache just for popularity (over than one million)!

anyway, open a topic here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/is-this-plugin-compatible-with-https/
