I have a general question about caching and the crawler.

I have a live version and a stage for testing. If I want to test the Crwaler now, do I have to set Drop Domain from Sitemap to OFF for both domains?

I tested this morning and now the stage CSS code is missing and it is no longer displayed correctly. I have done all on the stage purge, I even clicked Emty Entire Cache in the toolbox.

The home page loads completely without CSS and displays:

Page cached by LiteSpeed Cache 6.2.0.1 on 2024-04-29 07:17:20

That was the time I tested.

That means none of my attempts to clear the cache helped.

I assume the page is somewhere on the LiteSpeed server. How can I delete it?

    I have tested further.

The front page is not purged no matter what I do.

I even deleted the complete lscache folder in the root directory. The homepage does not update.

if your page has http auth , then crawler just don’t work.

I know that, but why can’t the start page be deleted from the cache? It is never updated!

    Do you read my posting?

Please try again. But the site is now broken. I don’t know why.

it looks like you have another cache system in place

I don’t see x-litespeed-cache header present , but I can see pages are cached somehow.

I don’t understand what that means. What does it have to look like? It works on http://www.prad.de.

on your www site , you can see this header x-litespeed-cache: hit , this indicates our cache is working alright

on your stage site , your page does not have this header, and if you check the html source code , at foot of it , you see

    <!-- Page cached by LiteSpeed Cache 6.2.0.1 on 2024-04-29 07:17:20 -->

and refresh page, the timestamp remains same, this indicates something else that is caching the page.

Yes, but where? I have only installed LS Cache as a caching plugin.

I am not sure , perhaps you could check with your hosting provider

just sharing what I found and what I saw.

There was an index.html in the main directory, which was created automatically. After I deleted it, at least a cached page from LSCache is delivered again.
