    Hello,

I am testing this caching plugin. I have turned on “preview pro features”.

I am monitoring the wp-content cache directory and subdirs.

When I am not logged in to the site, I see caches pages getting creating the related cache dir. However, when I am logged in to the site, I do not see cached files getting created.
I have turned on caching for logged in users. (left the defaults).
When I log out and click around, I see pages getting cached again.

Is there another setting to cache for logged in users?

    Thank you,
    Peter

  • @dualice The Logged-In User caching feature is only available in the Pro version. The “Preview Pro Features” doesn’t actually enable the features; it just lets you see which features are available in the Pro version.

Please note that as per the WordPress Forum Guidelines we’re not allowed to provide support for, or discuss, the Pro version here on these forums. Please use our forums or, if you already have the Pro version, you can open a support ticket.

    Thank you for responding.

I do not have the pro version. I was hoping “preview” meant “try them out to make sure they work as expected” before buying. I see them all but need to make sure they work as expected.

One more question.. I have a page that displays blog posts for a certain category. If that page is already cached and I create a new blog post in that category, the page is not removed from the cache. So if I go to that page, I do not see the new post. same is true if the page is already cached and I delete a post. The cached page is not cleared and if I go to that page, I see the old post.

Is there a setting to clear these pages?

    Thank you,
    Peter.

I have a page that displays blog posts for a certain category.

Is that a custom archive page, i.e., not just a standard WordPress Category Archive page? Comet Cache automatically clears the cache file for any Category or Tag archives associated with a post when the post is changed, however if you have a custom archive page that generates a special list of posts, Comet Cache has no way of automatically knowing that it should clear that page. In that case, you’ll need to use the Comet Cache API to clear the cache for that page whenever a post is published.

This isn’t a archive page. It is just a separate page that holds this category blog posts and I happen to show those blog posts on the homepage as well. I will look into the api and revert back with questions..

    thank you,
    Peter.
