Caching sidebar widgets
-
Hi,
My load time is especially delayed by youtube videos and a twitter widget in the sidebar.
Does Fastest Cache make cache of sidebar as well?
I installed Fastest Cache and get slight improvement but not the real kick i was hoping for…
Anything i can do to speed things up? Youtube video load after several seconds, twitter stream hangs for bit longer…
Thanks for any help with this.

It is possible but if there is a new tweet, the cache cannot be cleared.
Thanks for the reply!
There are new tweets almost every day – does that mean the cache of the sidebar cannot be cleared ever?
And does it mean that the sidebar, therefore, cannot be cached more than once (namely before a new tweet) with Fastest Cache plugin?I just don’t want to develop a complex plugin.
Ok No problem:) so guess the twitter widget is a separate problem. Know anybody who has made this widget load faster? Just in case…
This widget can be cached but in this case “delete cache” will cause a problem.
What kind of problem – is there any way to solve it?
Detection of new tweet can be a problem.
What if I set cache delete frequency high, like at least every day?
You want like that but other users will desire with another time so it causes a complex panel.
You mean sidebar cache is not defined by the individual user but predefined?
What is the time interval for cache delete of sidebar?never mind @ Hgna 🙂 I will investigate it and I will let you know if I implement it.
Thanks a lot Emre! That’s exciting and will be fantastic if it’s possible, fingers crossed! 🙂
Hi Emre, just to follow up in case you have preliminaries on adding cache for sidebar. It would be fantastic:-)
