• Hello,

I have a really disturbing problem with UniCPO and my client shop (https://murielmunga.com/boutique).

I have 3 options that are actually types of usage for the pictures sold:
    1. Personal use — conditional radio button
    2. Commercial use — conditional drop down
    3. Print in Kinshasa — conditional drop down

Options 1 & 2 are the same across all products and work like a charm.

Option 3 is where I have the issue: the prices of the sub-options depend on the type of support (aluminium-dibond/plexiglass/canvas) and the size of the pictures, which can vary greatly from one to the other.

This is how I created the products:
    → publish product A → add options 1,2 and 3
→ duplicate product A and modify details for products A’, A” that have the same sub-options under option 3

    → publish product B → add options 1,2 and 3
→ duplicate product B and modify details for products B’, B” that have the same sub-options under option 3 → and so on

I finished setting this up a few weeks ago when a customer complained that the calculator wasn’t displaying the price when selecting option 3 on any random product but $0 instead.

I tried to set the prices again but noticed they appeared to be “synced” so when I updated one price it was also updated on another picture.

I thought this happened because the sub-options had the same “slugs” so I went through all the pictures yesterday to give them different slugs.
Sadly, today when I checked just to make sure, the prices are again not calculated.

The shop (Menu ‘Boutique’) is currently hidden behind a coming soon page so to get to it, you must first use the bypass url in the field above).

    I’m at a loss here.
    Could you please help?
    Thanks

    Hi,

Using same slugs is not a problem. The problem is that when you use same slugs, which means you are using same options, just different instances, it is very easy to overwrite options. Probably you have overwritten options. Please, check the docs, read section Duplicating product and options.

If you are 100% sure it is a bug, then, please, tell me which steps exactly should I make to reproduce same issue on my localhost.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your answer.

I have read the documentation prior from contacting support. However, to me it’s not very clear what to do to reuse an option without overwriting.

What happens is that the “sub options” cease to function. On the admin side, the prices are visible (https://snipboard.io/5kSUnr.jpg) but on the front end, it just doesn’t calculate. The price remains at 0 (https://snipboard.io/HKsyvD.jpg).

The “slug” I was referring to in my first post is actually the “value” of the sub option. I thought that, by changing the value name, it would somehow make it unique to a specific product. I did that for every product but it keeps either overwriting on other products or stops calculating.

Maybe there is something that I overlooked?

    Thanks

    Hi!

If you change the slug name of the CONNECTED option, then you overwrite this option. If you want to change the slug of the option that is already used elsewhere, click on ‘unsync’ prior the changes. This action will disconnect option, so you could change its slug safely.
