Caldera form security

Hi,
After installing Cladera Forms 4.6, the very first message I receive seems to be SPAM: text is provocative, sender email is weird, message body contains many links.
I understand that this plugin has it’s own algorithm to prevent bots from writing, so I left “WordPress” selected as the mail delivery system.
Am I missing anything?
Is there anything I could do on my site to prevent this?
