Hi @cossabackup
Thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, you need to install and activate the Events Calendar PRO for [tribe_events_list] shortcode to work.
If you already have installed the Events Calendar PRO and you have no active license, then you will not be able to update it to the latest version. And if it’s not compatible with The Events Calendar plugin (free), it won’t work as expected.
I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.
Hi Darian,
Thanks for your reply! I don’t have it installed, it looks like I just have the regular Events Calendar plug-in active. Is there a way to get rid of the tribe_events_list shortcode and basically start from scratch?
Thanks

Hi @cossabackup
Thanks for your response.
Your desired use-case scenario may be possible with some custom coding, but if you decide to give that a try, please note we cannot provide full support for custom implementations like that.
Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.

Hi @cossabackup
If you have an old version of The Events Calendar PRO (premium), you can try downgrading your The Events Calendar (free) to be compatible. The disadvantage is we don’t support old versions of our plugins.
Alternatively, you can find other free plugins, such as The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block plugin.
Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
