Calendar Shortcode not working
-
The shortcode I have for my calendar shows a bunch of code and a non functional calendar on my screen without my events. The only short code that seems to work is the headlines one. Is there something differently that I should be doing?

How did you add the shortcode to the page? The easiest way is to use the calendar icon on the visual editor, which will help you get all the attributes right.
The visual editor adds the [rsvpmaker_upcoming] shortcode, which should result in the display of an events listing optionally with a calendar displayed at the top of that listing. If you’re using [rsvpmaker_calendar] that would display just the calendar with no listings (but people can click on the links to individual events to see the details).
Not sure if I’m addressing your issue, but if not please be more specific about the “bunch of code” you’re seeing. If you can give me a link to a test page so I can see a live example, that might give me more clues.
I had orginally used the calendar but noticed the issue. Then I manually put in, no difference
Here is the link to the page
This is the current release of rsvpmaker?
What exactly do you have as attributes on the [rsvpmaker_upcoming] shortcode?
I am using release 4.6
I have
Display Calendar = Yes
Calendar Navigation Links = Bottom
Number of Listings = 10
Date Range = 4 Weeks
No events Message = Blank
Event Type = None
Target One Post = Pick One?
Upcoming Events? = Upcoming
Show Author/Post Date = YesJust sent it to you….let me know if you did not receive it.
Nuts. Now I’ll need to review all of the author’s replies and redact as needed…
@davidfcarr I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.
- Ask for a link to the http://pasetbin.com/ log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();output. - Ask the user to install the Send System Info plugin and get the data that way.
- Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins except yours, switch to the Twenty Fifteen theme, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
- Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.

@jdembowski understood. My intent was pure, but I will abide by the rules.
Thank you for understanding. I know you look out for your users well. π
@jdembowski – I was distracted by a personal crisis and never got a chance to log in before the code expired. The moderators here are asking me not to poke around in your website, so will have to figure something else out.
Looks like you’re using a different shortcode to display your upcoming events.
If you constructed the shortcode manually, I’d suggest trying again to put [rsvpmaker_upcoming] on a test page but using the calendar button in the visual editor to create it. Then let me know if you’re still seeing all those ugly sql errors.
I am still getting the sql errors
