Starting from version 4.14.0 on my WordPress, the Campaign section has disappeared.

Even by clicking the module from which a donation came, the campaign page shows an error which says “that the “You dont have permission to see this page”.

I currently rolled back to version 4.13.2 which shows the campaign section, but the design editing of the modules doesn’t load…

The donation modules still work though

    Thanks for any help

    Hello @matteoprogettosrl ,

Glad you reached out, happy to help!

What you are describing sounds like a few of the recent database updates have not completed successfully. You’ll want to update to the latest version, which is now 4.14.2. (Make a backup of your database first!)

Next, visit your database update section in GiveWP > Tools > Data – Database Updates, and page through all of the screens (there are several).

If you see entries with any status other than the green “Success” status, please send a full screenshot of EVERY page where one exists in your reply back to us.

With that we can provide actionable steps to get you up and running again 👍🏻

Looking forward to getting this resolved! 🙂

    Hello again,

    Thank you for the screenshots!

We have a comprehensive list of steps below that can solve this issue 99% of the time.

BEFORE PROCEEDING WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH — THIS SHOULD BE RUN ON A STAGING OR TEST SITE THAT IS A COPY OF YOUR LIVE SITE FIRST. ONCE CONFIRMED THINGS ARE WORKING AS EXPECTED, ONLY THEN SHOULD YOU APPLY THE CHANGES ON YOUR LIVE SITE. WHEN YOU ARE READY FOR THAT STEP, TAKE A FULL BACK OF YOUR WEBSITE INCLUDING THE DATABASE. THIS NEEDS TO BE A BACKUP THAT YOU CAN EASILY AND CONFIDENTLY RESTORE FROM IF NEEDED.

    1. In your site admin, navigate to GiveWP > Settings > Advanced  Advanced Database Updates, and enable the Advanced Database Updates setting, and save the changes. This will add a button for the database updates to reverse and/or re-run updates again.

    2. Next, navigate to GiveWP > Tools > Data – Database updates and go to the page in your first screenshot with the Failed entry and you should see a Re-run Update button to the right of Recalculate exchange rate — go ahead and click that button. If you don’t see any buttons, see step 1. above.

Aftering clicking the button, the status will change to Running   and with a blue color. That step may take a while to run, and that’s OK since it works in the background.

After that is completed, the remaining entries that show as Pending  will fire off automatically on their own.

Let us know how things go after all steps show a green Success   status,  and of course if you have questions along the way, we’re happy to help! 🙂

    Hey, thank you.
Yesterday i clicked re-run update on the one that failed, but after more than 20 hours its still running the same one

Im on the last version of the plugin 4.14.2 and on last version of wordpress, with the website on the staging platform of the host.

    Hello @matteoprogettosrl ,

Thanks for the update! For cases like this, I would recommend checking the cron jobs on your site, and cancel the task if it still shows to be running. The trusted WP Crontrol plugin is perfect for this task https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-crontrol/.

After those are cleared, if the status goes back to Failed, click to Re-run Update again and let us know if it goes through successfully.

    Best regards,
