Can I Go Back Please?

I’m an admitted knucklehead, for starters. Just celebrated three years of blogging just in time for WP 5.5 I guess. Everything just got harder with no upside for me. Used to be able to choose two images from the media library and they’d upload side by side. No more. One at a time and fumble around trying to align them and eliminate blocks I don’t want in between them. I signed up for WP and Bluehost believing this was relatively simple and I wouldn’t need to be a developer! Is there a way to simply go back to the primitive way of posting I’ve had for the last three years?
