Greetings Earthbliss:
Thank you for choosing to use this plugin! The plugin does not place any links anywhere that is visible. It uses the custom post types to allow admins to have access to the editor but does not add the direct link to any menu or page. Is there a specific link that you need removed?
Also, when viewing the ww.wp.xz.cn page for the plugin, you can go to the developer page which lists all the versions ever added.

When I click on view quote it shows me a page:
https://www.shamanlinks.net/blog/quote/people-are-like-stained-glass-windows-they-sparkle-and-shine-when-the-sun-is-out-but-when-the-darkness-sets-in-their-true-beauty-is-revealed-only-if-there-is-a-light-from-within/
I had a subfolder on my website recently and although it only existed a few weeks and I deleted it a page showed up in google search results. Admittedly for an obscure search term. I’m not sure how google finds its way to these things, when its not linked from anywhere… but if a page like that one above ever showed up in a search results I would not be happy.
I did considered using an .htaccess redirect on the quote folder to make sure no one could ever arrive at a page like that. I wasn’t sure if I’d miss out on some archive page though. Are there any archive pages on the categories?
Ah, I hadn’t considered the search aspects of it. Let me look through some options and I will get an update out shortly with a solution for this.
On a side note: For your subfolders and such, if you use any SEO or sitemap generator plugin, you can designate which files/posts/folders that the search engines access.
OK. I did turn off the Quote related stuff on the XML sitemap for Yoast. I’m going to turn on the old version of the plug in for now, until I have some time to decide how I want to proceed. (That link above will stop working.)
To avoid ugly links, it occurred to me that I could use the Page Links To plug in to direct each quote back to the home page of my site. I already have ‘Page Links To’ installed for other reasons. I tried it out on my old beta site and it does work.
Do you think this would work reliably? Or would it create any crazy loops in your plug in?
Greetings EarthBliss:
The Page Links To plugin should work very nicely. Quote Master does not use the url in anyway so it shouldn’t create any errors or loops on your site.
