Can I request for a feature?
-
Hello
please I’d like to know if I can be able to request a feature which I think is missing from this great plugin.
-
Hello @mendelistickmend ,
Yes we would love to know, how we can make the plugin better for you.
Regards,
SpeedyCache TeamCan you include Lifespan/Run at exact time for
Delete Minified(Deletes Minfied/ Combined CSS/JS files)
Delete Fonts(Deletes Local Google Fonts)
Delete Gravatars(Delete locally hosted Gravatars)
Preload Cache(After cache gets deleted, it restarts auto cache generation.)
Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion, we will surely implement this, you can expect a version by end of next week, options to enable these options will be added to Cache LifeSpan.
Regards,
SpeedyCache TeamYou gguys are the best! Thank you so much for all you do.
The feature is live. Thank you so much Speedycache Team.
Hello,
We apologies that we did not notify you about the release here.
So we have given 2 options one for Gravatars and the other for fonts, we have enabled Minified and Preload by default; Preload will happen if the Preload setting is enabled.
Let us know if you have any other feedback or suggestion.Regards,
SpeedyCache TeamI noticed an issue, after editing a post and update, I still see the cached version instead of the newest edited post. I have tried incognito. Still the same thing. Please how do I resolve this?
Hello,
Thanks for letting us know about that, we have found the issue, and its happening because the gzip version of the cache is not getting deleted. we will release a version that will fix this issue.
Regards,
SpeedyCache TeamDear Speedycache Team,
First off, I want to thank you for the recent update—it fixed the issue I was having, and I really appreciate your quick response and hard work. It’s made a big difference!
I’m reaching out now with a question (and possibly a feature request) about embedding content dynamically, specifically with posts. I’m using your plugin to embed content via shortcodes like [insert page=’tester’ display=’content’], and I’ve noticed a difference in behavior between pages and posts:
- When I embed a page into another page and update the original page (e.g., tester), the changes reflect immediately in the embedding location. This works perfectly for my needs.
- However, when I embed a post into another post and update the original post, the changes don’t show up right away. I’ve found that this delay is due to my caching plugin holding onto an older version of the embedded content. Disabling the cache fixes it, but I’d love to keep caching active for performance.
I’d like to make embedded posts update instantly like pages do, even with caching enabled. Could you let me know:
- Is there an existing setting in Speedycache to ensure embedded post content is always fetched dynamically (e.g., a “nocache” option or similar)? If so, could you point me to where I can find it or how to use it with the shortcode?
- If there isn’t a setting for this yet, would it be possible to add a feature in a future update? Something like an option to mark specific shortcodes as non-cacheable or to force real-time updates for embedded posts would be incredibly helpful. It’d save me from manually clearing caches or excluding pages, while still letting me benefit from caching elsewhere.

Hello,
Glad to know that deletion on update is working, and for the issue of page embeds, we are looking into it. Currently we do not have anything to make it work, we are looking into the possibility of adding an option to exclude page based on shortcode. But we need a little more time, to look for options which would be easier to use for users.
And I would request you create a new support thread for this issue as that would be helpful for other users and will align well with the WordPress forum guidlines.
Regards,
VardanThanks for getting back to me so quickly. I really appreciate that you’re looking into the page embed issue! I’m happy to give you all the time you need to explore options, and I’m excited about the possibility of an exclusion feature. That sounds like a user-friendly solution.
While you’re investigating, I’d suggest looking into how WordPress’s oEmbed caching might be causing the delay I’m seeing with embedded posts. When I embed a post using a shortcode (like [insert page=’tester’ display=’content’] from another plugin), your cache seems to hold onto the oEmbed-generated version, so updates to the original post don’t appear until the cache clears. Pages, on the other hand, update instantly. Perhaps because they’re not cached the same way. Could your team examine how your plugin interacts with oEmbed? An option to skip caching oEmbed content or refresh it on post updates might resolve this.
Also, thanks for the heads-up about the support thread. I’ll create a new one on the WordPress forum to keep things organized and help others find it, referencing this conversation and the details I shared earlier.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to assist, and thanks again for your support!
Best regards,
