Can I truncate the redirection_404 table programmatically

I am trying to deal with an old WP site and I am frozen out of the admin pages, due to suspension of the hosting account because of over use of resources. The hosting company has flagged redirection_404 table as one culprit. which is filled with apple touch icon 404s.

Will it affect the plugin adversely if I truncate this table via command line or through phpMyadmin?
