can I use the plugin shortcode to wrap PHP ?

Hi I’m trying to include a shortcode like this:

[php_everywhere]
<?php some php ?>
[/php_everywhere]

inside of a autoreply sent via email by Formidable Forms, but somehow it seems that the html is messed up.

is this a good usage for the shortcode?
