Can no longer update posts

    Hi
    Since upgrading to WP5.0.3 i have repeatedly had problems update existing posts and making new one. When i go to save the post it says it fails to update and a pink band come across the post.

    I have clear the caches several times in my site and this make no difference.

    Help – small business owner feeling frustrated.

    Gutenberg uses the WordPress REST API.

    Therefore, first, please make sure Rest API is not disabled on your site via some plugin, etc.

    “Health Check” plugin can also test it for you: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/

    Thank you. I installed and ran “Health Check” and everything I have installed seems in order. It suggests upgrading to MySQL 5.6 from 5.5 and I will be happy to try to do that if it is relevant to my problem. It also reports that “Your MySQL version supports utf8mb4”. Does this mean complete unicode character support (for Greek, Hebrew, etc) or do I need something different if I want to be able to display those character sets?

    Hey
    I was actually asking about updating posts. Nothing to do foreign characters. I am unable to amend and existing post or make a new one on my website.
    This has all been since it change to the new version 5.0.3, i have added the health check plug but it hasn’t made a difference
