Can not activate/access Snippets

    Running Xtheme pro.

    Hi. I recently noticed that I can not access my snippets and am getting a page saying that “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”. I am doing some troubleshooting regarding js errors and think it maybe due to a snippet but can not get the plugin reactivated due to the above message

    I have checked the permissions on the plugin folder which are set for:

    Owner – R, W, X
    Group – R, _, X
    Others – R, _, X

    The plugin is de-activated currently but was working last I checked (been a while ago now) and thought I would start with making sure these are the correct settings. Other ideas?

    Hi,
    I have the same problem… The plugin is not visible on the dasboraad menu.
    I think it’s caused from the upgraded version of WordPress; in fact the plugin now results not tested for the new version (8.4.1) of wordpress.
    What I am asking to the author is to upgrade his plugin … please!
    For got out the written snippets we can directly have from the Database table.

    The plugin is tested with the latest version of WordPress – if something is not working, I doubt that it has to do with the WordPress upgrade directly.

    @dsthompson, it doesn’t sound like this is a file permissions issue, but instead a WordPress permissions issue. Without being able to access the site, I recommend backing up your snippets, and then uninstalling the plugin (through the Plugins menu so all the data is deleted), and then reinstalling the plugin. When you reinstall the plugin, the custom capabilities in WordPress will be re-created, which should resolve any permissions issues. I recommend you try the same, @ controface.

    Version 2.9.6 has been released, which changes a few things around in regards to WordPress permissions, and hopefully should fix this issue.
