• Resolved Gecko

I went through your instructions on setting up a Google API and still the map won’t show just “Location not found”

Tried turning off all other plugins and using the default 2016 theme. Turned on error reporting for wordpress no errors show up.

Site is just starting development here is a link to the location and yes it resolves on Google map.

  • Is it failing in admin or just on the front-end?

It’s failing on both admin and public views.
This morning I recreated the three needed Google Maps APIs and a new API Key as well, still a no go!

Also selected none for Key restrictions and that didn’t help either. Both the domain and sub-domain have been verified in my webmaster Tools account.

It’s still not working on this site.

Interestingly enough I have another site I did about a year ago running Events Manager Version 5.6.2 and it’s still displaying the map, that site is also a pro version.

So I deactivated and uninstall Events Manager on the problem site and uploaded a copy of the 5.6.2 version. After activating it my problem location was still listed, meaning the database was not cleared of Events Manager’s tables, something I’ll try later manualy.

Now I’m afraid to update the other working website to the latest Events Manager for fear of loosing the map function.

    What do I do now?
Hopefully a developer can chime in here and give me some help in resolving this issue!

Well the map is now working.

When using a North, South, East, or West in a street name you MUST use the letter designation and a period. I had it spelled out North, I had tried just N but I hadn’t used the period.

Hi, I have a similar problem on my site. added an event with the map – while the map appears, the location is “not found” and the google map red arrow points to a different location (not the address I entered) – is there a solution?

    veredkarty,

All I can suggest is to go to google.com/maps and input variations of the address until Google finds the right location, then try using the variation in Events Manager.

Thanks Gecko. tried that and the address is absolutely accurate. I realised the Google API is the key to success and started the process using this guide: http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/ but half way through (after enabling the 3 APIs, and there was a mismatch between the questions the guide shows and what my screen shows. I got the API key, added it to WP events but nothing… so frustrating. Don’t know what to do.

    veredkarty,

Try logging back into console.cloud.google.com account and see if you are getting any errors, also make sure all three APIs are Active.

Otherwise all I can suggest is to start your own thread, this one is marked resolved so no one will be looking to help this thread.
