Here is my error when click “Start SEO data optimization”.
It’s just have “Error message Error parsing the response to JSON.”, no Response.

Have try this but not working (the same error after try):

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that each reset was successful. Note: Resetting the optimization doesn’t undo any of the hard work you’ve put into the plugin as the SEO data is also stored in WordPress’ default tables. It’ll just reset the custom Yoast tables that contain the combined data pulled from those default tables.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

  • Hey @tungnt3855,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Do you have the same error if you try it from Yoast SEO → Tools? If so, please check if the Site Health (Tools > Site Health) does provide more information or errors specifically mentioning anything related to the REST-API. It might be that a security plugin or measurements limits the REST-API, which we use when you run the data optimization.

@tungnt3855 Thanks for your reply and for checking. The most common causes of this issue are invalid previously stored data or a conflict with a plugin or theme on your site. The next step is to try and reset the data and retry the optimization.

To reset the data, please follow these steps:

      • Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
      • Go to your WordPress admin dashboard > Tools (sidebar) > Yoast Test
      • Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that each reset was successful.
Now that we have removed any previously stored data, we’ll need to rerun the data optimization. You have a few options to run the SEO data migration:
      • Inside the WordPress admin area: This is the method where you saw the above error.
      • Use the WP-CLI commands: This requires access to your server through a terminal service. Your web host may be able to help. If you have a large site, we highly recommend this method.

If the optimization completes successfully after the reset, you are ready to start using Yoast SEO and its features.

    @tungnt3855 Thanks for your reply.

We reviewed the screenshots you provided, but it appears that in them you are using Yoast SEO Premium instead of the free version of Yoast SEO.

If you have purchased SEO Premium you would need to contact us directly at [email protected] for assistance, as this forum is reserved for support of the free version of Yoast SEO as per the forum guidelines. Thanks for your understanding.

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
