CAN-SPAM

Quick question with regards to how these email notifications apply to the CAN-SPAM rules. When my members sign up within the site, they enter their email and then have to activate through the automatic email notification. Is that considered in compliance with CAN-SPAM for these topic notifications? This could be a dumb question, but i’m fairly new to all these internet rules and just want to make sure that these mass notifications are in compliance with CAN-SPAM
