    Hi Sybre,

I’d like to have the TSF breadcrumb to include Home as the base reference plus one other key page that people could also click on to go back to that page instead of home. Is that possible?

The Breadcrumb would look like this as an example:

Home / The Ultimate Guide / The Page The Person’s On

    Thanks for letting me know.

    Hello!

The breadcrumbs script is new and supports only the standard structure, as implied via the rewrite API.

We’re open to feature requests for a second generation, but I don’t think it’s feasible to manually crosslink posts exclusively for breadcrumbs. However, WordPress supports this feature already via the Parent page attribute, and TSF considers this information for breadcrumbs. So, when “The Page The Person’s On” has set its parent page to “The Ultimate Guide,” you’ll get your proposed breadcrumb.

We actually use that structure on this page. Where “Improve your pages” has “Documentation” as its parent page — you can see the breadcrumbs above the article, on the right.

Set a parent page in the Wordress Block Editor via Page Attributes in the sidebar.

Note that this feature is not available for posts.
