    No, it cannot. It simply hooks into whichever engine is being used during the save routine to make sure the images are optimized when they are created.

    Also, if you are using WP 3.5+, I don’t think you need that plugin, since it doesn’t appear to do anything different than stock WP anymore (but you’d want to test it and see to make sure first).
