Hello! Newbie here, great plugin! I’m curious if your plugin can handle what I need though.

I have a member database, my members do not have access to their records. Our members are assigned a unique ID. Their ID, email address, other info, and their image is stored in our database. When a customer comes to our website for member verification, they will put the member’s ID in one box and the member’s email address in the other box. If it is a match, their ID and image is displayed. Can your plugin do this?

    Thank you for your time.

Yes, it will take a little work to get it all set up, it’s a bit complicated.

You’ll need to use the Combo Multisearch add-on to get your entry form. The add-on lets you set up a search control that has your two fields.

Basically, the idea is your user is performing a search where the result is a single record. You’ll need to use a custom template to show the search result, because search results are usually shown as a list of results, but in your case it will be a single result.

I have an article that explains how to set that up:

Showing a Search Result as a Single Record

That will give you the basic structure and you can customize it from there.

Thank you very much for such a quick reply. If I have any issues, I’ll be back to ask.
