Cancel date

Let’s say a user buys a membership (1 month, with recurrence) July 1st. August 1st I let the recurrence pay the second month, but then the user goes to PayPal and cancels the recurrence; back at the site, PMPro cancels the user access, even when it has one month payed…which is obviously not ok.
Am I missing something? 🙁
P.S. Using PMPro v1.8.10.3.
