I have a number of sites using Google Analyticator, version 6.4.7.3. Some are using WordPress 3.8.1. Others are using 3.7.1

Today I find when I try to access Appearance, Widgets through the WP dashboard, I cannot, and get aa Page Not Found error on widgets.php.

In Googling, I found an article at http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/wp-adminwidgetsphp which suggested the problem was with Google Analyticator, and deactivating it made the problem disappear. When I disable Google Analyticator, it does indeed fix the problem. I tried re-installing, but the problem returns. I tried disabling other plugins instead of GA, but the problem stays until I Deactivate it.

Any ideas on how to retain GA? Thanks.

  • Hi,

We actually have a fix for this, and are looking for beta testers, would you be interested in testing the latest version. If so please contact us here:

    https://videousermanuals.desk.com/

The problem comes because your token has expired. You need to deauthorise the plugin (scroll to the bottom of the settings), and then set up the plugin again and this will fix it.

It would be great if you could test the new version though.

    Thanks
