Adding to this thread – When I use the site a visitor and try to see different listings, I’m getting the same “Oops! We can’t seem to find the page you’re looking for” message. There is something wrong with this plug in.
Hello @oshawamuseum,
I’m going to answer your questions one by one as follows 🙂
When I use the site a visitor and try to see different listings, I’m getting the same “Oops! We can’t seem to find the page you’re looking for” message.
I checked your site and I can see both the listings pages:
Is there another listings page I’m missing out on that is throwing the error you reported?
****
I cannot click ‘Listings’ or see my full list of listings when I’m in the admin side of managing my website. When I try to click on ‘Listings’ to see my full list of listings, it comes up with a page that says “Oops! We can’t seem to find the page you’re looking for.”
Can you confirm that your listings page is set up with the [jobs] shortcode correctly? We have some instructions here if you want to double-check 🙂
If you did everything correctly, then something else may be conflicting. You can try the following:
- Ensure it is not a permalink issue by going to Settings > Permalinks from your WordPress dashboard and pressing the “Save” button.
- Try disabling other installed plugins and then repeating step one. If it is a plugin conflict you can then either leave the problem plugin disabled or contact the author for assistance.
- Switch to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty) to rule out a conflict, repeating step one after doing so.
Let me know what you find out, and we’ll take it from there if necessary.
Hi there, thanks for the help.
I believe I tried what you’ve suggested above, and I’m still having issues. The permalink that isn’t working is: (http://discoverhistoricoshawa.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=job_listing), so it’s on the admin side where I cannot see the list of listings.
The permalink for this appears to be the same, for example, for pages (http://discoverhistoricoshawa.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page) the difference being that last word. I don’t have an issue with pages. But trying to see the list of listings keeps bringing me to the ‘oops’ page.
Also, I’m sorry if my terminology isn’t perfect with this! I’m not sure all of the right tech terms. This is not my background, nor my forte.
@oshawamuseum Could you try this steps to try isolating the cause of this issue?
These steps will disable all plugins and revert to a default theme, only in your logged in session. It will not affect the public view.
- Install Health Check plugin on your site
- Download and install Twenty Twenty on your site if not installed already
- Go to Installed Plugins. Click Troubleshoot on WP Job Manager
- Try viewing the Job Listings from wp-admin.
- Once you are done, go back to wp-admin and disable troubleshooting mode through the top bar.
Hi there! Thanks for those steps, they were easy to follow.
I troubleshooted with both Twenty Twenty as well as my installed theme (Listable by Pixelgrade). In troubleshoot, I could access the page.
I tried to access it again with troubleshoot disabled – I could access it with Twenty Twenty but not Listable. Is this now something I should kick back to my theme creator?
Many thanks for your patience with me!

Hi @oshawamuseum,

Yes — this means you’ve narrowed down the cause of the issue with Listable. You should reach out to the theme developer of Listable and report the issues there 🙂
