    Ugh, I thought perhaps the site was working but only the back end was gone.
    It looks like whatever happened on your hosting provider messed things up.
    Do you have a back up of your site?

    I’m thinking that when you access via FTP, your files might not be there.
    If that’s the case, I would contact the host again and see if they can help. If they were only performing maintenance, then they shouldn’t have wiped the files.

    Fatcow now admits that they are having more serious problems, but everything should be O.K. in the morning and I should be able to login normally.

    Thanks for your help.

    I do have a vaultpress backup in the worse case.

    I can see your site now. Looks like your host sorted things out. Pfew….
