Cannot access older posts – admin main page loads instead

    When I try to manage my old posts (link below the latest entries) /wp-admin/edit.php?paged=2) after a few seconds the main admin page /wp-admin shows up.

    This occurs with Firefox 2.0.0.9 (all plugins deaktivated) Windows XP Home SP2 and Mac OS X 10.4.10
    Safari 3.0.3 (all plugins deactivated) Windows XP Home SP2 and Mac OS X 10.4.10
    Opera 9.24 (all plugins deactivated) Windows XP Home SP2

    But when i use Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 the second site is displayed and i can access the older posts.

    Strange thing is, that a second wordpress installation is running on the same server, without this problem.

    It seems to me, that this is a kind of timeout error and then the admin mainpage is loaded instead of the older posts page.

    Has anyone an idea how to fix this?

    Mine wanted me to reinstall WP. After running WP for 3 years I AM NOT GOING TO DO THAT. My hosting co got the blog back up – I am not allowed database access with my plan – but I can not access any post that are not on the main page, though the data seems to be there. Not sure what to do. DB checkes out ok, does not need repair via PHP, but still not able to get stuff. I will be watching your thread to see if someone can give you some guidance I can use too.

    I still have no answer.
    Maybe one soultion could be to use the export function, install a fresh WP and import the hole content again. Maybe first on a testserver. But as i see it, in my case it is a mysql request/timeout problem.
