Hi @wrapupph
Welcome to the wordpress forums. Prior to this, did you make any changes to the site after the clean install of WordPress? It would be nice to know exactly what happened so that we can all go to the bottom of the matter and see how best to help you.
Hi @skyoyugi, thank you for your quick response.
The website has been live and working for few months now. Admin was also working without problems.
But few weeks ago, I suddenly could not access admin page, encountering ‘This page doesn’t seem to exist.’. I was initially under the impression that the error was related to my hosting’s bandwidth limit so I upgraded it – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Oo6oCrHdXladBiE8q2_ohpwOLM1ccPW3/view?usp=sharing – but still getting the same error.
The last activity I remember doing in admin page is uploading new products using the bulk upload functionality. Can we explore the possibilities of error caused by this feature, or lack of memory on hosting, wordpress admin, etc.?
Or is there any way to see logs so I can check more details about the error?
This seems to be a .htaccess file corruption or changes issue.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue.
1. Open File Manage in Cpanel or use FTP to connect to your server and get access of files.
2. Then in the root folder where wordpress is installed you’ll find the .htaccess file along with other wp-....php prefixed files.
3. Download the existing file as a backup then renamed it to .htaccess-backup
4. then create a new .htaccess file and copy the fresh code from here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/htaccess/#basic-wp
and add into that file then save the file. in FTP it will ask to upload after saving the file so confirm the upload message
Then access your admin page following URL https://wrapup.ph/wp-login.php and login into your wordpress backend. then go to Settings > Permalink and re-save the settings then check if everything is ok or not.
NOTE: if you’re using network website setup then .htaccess code will be different you can find the code on the same page after scrolling down.
If you don’t know how to use File Manager on Cpanel or FTP Client
You can get information here
FTP Clients
Or you can ask your hosting support to make the changes if they offer that service.
Oh, your old file shows that your site has been infected or in general words we can say got hacked.
This could because someone installed nulled plugin or theme on website and it affected the whole website.
You can find a guide here how to clean website
