    I hate this – it’s known as the “White Screen of Death” amongst some WP developers… there’s multiple things that might be causing the error.

    Try renaming your theme’s folder, forcing WordPress to use another, then see if you can get into wp-admin.

    Thanks for the feedback. It appears that on this occasion an earlier attempt to update the version of WordPress had left the files in a bit of a mess.

    By copying over a cleaned up version the site is now working again.
