You should try to delete the WP-Maintenance-Mode folder from plugins and delete the cache (if you have). This behaviour is pretty strange, could you please give me some answers:
1. what plugins do you have installed?
2. Have you changed the URL of the login page?

Manage to fix it.
I think it clashed with the iTheme Security plugin,
where i changed the back end login.
Solutions:
I access the website FTP and rename the plugin folder.
Then I tried accessing the website via the typical WP-ADMIN login.
Then technically when you manage to login, use the FTP and rename the Plugin
folder back to the original name.
Once you rename refresh the WP Dashboard and go to the plugin page.
In the plugin page you will notice that all the plugins are Deactivated.
You have to enable one by one.
but for my case I activated one by one and deactivated WP Maintenance Mode
which is clashing with my Itheme Security.
Thanks anyway and its great plugin, I’ve used it for all my sites while on Development mode.

Actually, if you change the backend login URL… you can use the “Exclude” feature (from “General” settings).
Example: if the new url is: “domain.com/new-login-url/”, you add “new-login-url” to “Exclude”. This way, the new url will be excluded from maintenance.

Same issue here.
Trigger was an unsuccesfull plugin update from admin page via FTP.
Plugin SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.6.4 failed to update and then all I was able to see was a blank page with maintenance message. No way I could access any page, not even admin page.

@manare: actually, I think your problem was caused by the built-in wordpress maintenance page (used for each plugin/core update: http://www.jonholato.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/WP-Maintenance.png ).

I’m beginner with wordpress and website stuff.
I installed this we maintenance mode plugin to give myself time to improve my website.
Immediately after activating, I cannot login anymore using Domian.com/wp-admin url. every time receive “You must log in to access the admin area”.
I do not know what should I do?
I was using Clef to login.

You can try to rename the wp-maintenance-mode folder from wp-content/plugins, but I don’t think the issue is caused by WP Maintenance Mode.
If the problem remains, you should try to rename the Clef (wpclef) folder too and see what happens.
