    Hello,
I have been using this plugin for a while and things have been working great. Today when visiting my site, there was a fatal error message from wordpress – this is the one where a grey page shows and says that the site cannot be accessed due to a fatal error. I disabled plugins and the site worked again. When I went to enable plugins, Relevanssi wouldn’t enable anymore and instead this error showed up at the top of the page:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Warning: require_once(/home/socrat12): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/socrat12/ on line 72

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘lib/admin-ajax.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php73/root/usr/share/pear’) in /home/socrat12/ on line 72

I’ve never seen this before. Was there an update recently and perhaps an update happened on my system? My staging site didn’t have this error (v4.8 of the plugin) and has been working perfectly this whole time. The main site is on 4.8.1. I believe this error started within the past 24 hours since I used the site around 24 hours ago.

I just rolled back to V4.8 and I do not get the error when I try to activate the plugin. I’ll keep using V4.8 for now.

Sounds like a corrupt update, if there’s a file missing – I’m sure the lib/admin-ajax.php is included in the update, but for some reason it is missing after an update.

I don’t think I fully understand what you’re saying nor do I understand if there are any possible solutions. Are you saying that the update to your plugin was somehow corrupt OR update to WordPress? and that somehow that file was erased after the update to your plugin? If yes, do you think I should try to update to 4.8.2? Or should I try to repair WordPress? A bit confused.

The plugin update was corrupted. Uninstall the plugin and try installing it again, maybe that helps.

Ok I’ll do that. – I’m somehow not getting your responses to my email address despite checking the box – sorry for not responding sooner though!

Is there a way to export my settings? I don’t want to lose all of them by deleting and having to reset everything.

Exporting and importing settings is a Premium feature.

If you have direct access to the files on your site, you can try deactivating Relevanssi, deleting the files from the server, uploading new files and activating the plugin again. That would keep the settings intact.

I tried updating to 4.8.2 before trying what you suggested. I didn’t have the fatal error yet.

    Thank you for your help!
