• When I try to activate the plugin, I get a server 500 error. I turned on detailed errors and when I try to activate the program, I get this information:

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getValue() on a non-object in G:\PleskVhosts\myshadowtechnologies.com\gremlinsbaseball.com\wp-content\plugins\wysija-newsletters\core\base.php on line 1499

I would love to use this plugin if I can get it to work. Any help out there?

  • Hi,

Can you delete and re-install the plugin via FTP? If that doesn’t work, your server may not have enough memory, in which case you will need to contact your host.

I ran into the same error message, but my problem was the naming of the plugin folder.
I renamed the folder to mailpoet (wp-content\plugins\mailpoet\) which led to the error message.
My solution was simply to rename the mailpoet folder to wysija-newsletters (wp-content\plugins\wysija-newsletters\).

Maybe this is useful for somebody.

Hello, I installed “mail poet” plug-in, via FTP
The installation was ok, and it worked for a month.
Some days ago, I found this plug-in disabled, and when I tried to activate it, I get “…\core\base.php on line 1499”
    the host mem_limt is 128mb
    what’s wrong?
    Thanks in advance
