    Hey,

Whenever I try to upload any .png or .jpg file from my hard drive, I get the following error: There was an error while uploading file to the server. Please, try again later.

I’m trying to upload graphics from the administrator account.
The graphics are small media files, tried different sizes (60kb-100kb).
I’ve set 777 CHMODs for ‘uploads’ folder and files within. Additionally, I’ve set 777 CHMODs for ‘wp-content’ folder.
The graphics are being uploaded to the server, I can read them from my FTP cient. They are properly saved in 8 different sizes.
I tried uploading media on different locations: pages, posts and add-ons.
I tried switching the themes, the problem is visible on all of them.
Finally, I’ve checked allocated HDD space in my hosting panel – I still got over 1GB of free space.

Could you, please, help me solve that issue?

  • Try checking your site’s error logs for messages. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

Thank you, they looked into logs. Apparently, the RAM limit was reached and they advised to upgrade my account. I believe the problem can be marked as solved.
