cannot add hyperlinks to posts

    Ack. For the last TWO days, I have been unable to add hyperlinks to any of my blog posts.

    I can highlight the portion of text I want hyperlinked, but when I click on the hyperlink button, nothing happens–instead, “javascript:;” comes up on the bottom left corner of my screen.

    HELP!!

    Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Forgive my complete techy igorance, but what do you mean ‘all files and folders’ and how do I do a fresh download of WP?

    Use the big red Download button at the top of this page to download WordPress. Then FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and upload everything- except the wp-content folder – to the wordpress folder on the remote server.
