@basandrai We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing issue with the latest release of the plugin. Unfortunately, we could not say for sure what might have caused the issue as it could have either been a theme or plugin conflict, or you are not meeting the minimum PHP and WP version requirements.
If you are unable to access your WordPress dashboard, then you may have to manually uninstall Yoast SEO Premium through FTP as in this guide — https://kb.yoast.com/kb/white-screen-when-activating-or-updating-plugin
If you are still able to access the WordPress dashboard, please check first if your web host is meeting the minimum PHP and WP version requirements of Yoast SEO for WordPress as detailed here — https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wordpress-seo/
Hi @devnihil
I have checked the requirement,
According to Yoast
WordPress Version: 5.4 or higher and tested up to 5.5.1
PHP version: 5.6.20 or higher
and my website details are as follow:
WP version: 5.5.1(latest wp release)
PHP version: 7.2
which meets the requirement of the plugin.
If you are unable to access your WordPress dashboard, then you may have to manually uninstall Yoast SEO Premium through FTP: Already done.
I have checked the plugin confliction just when the SEO plugin is activated it goes down, and according to my server support, they are saying there is a large number of bots traffic which make my website down.
It would be great if you guys help, as this is my live website.
Thanks
Hi @basandrai,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Thank you for confirming the WP & PHP version. Apart from those two, there are a couple of other plugin requirements which are more related to your server too, such as cURL version. You can find our plugin requirements here in case you still wonder if your server meets the requirements too.
Having said that, you mentioned you tried manually reinstalling/uninstalling the Yoast SEO Premium plugin. If you are a premium customer of ours, please know that you are entitled to personal support from our team. You can find more details here.
While we are not sure if the bot traffic is related to the plugin conflict when you add a new post, we would like to know if you can find any PHP errors in the server logs. Do you have access to those so we can investigate this?
I will check those requirements and get back to you. Thanks
@basandrai Please let us know once you’ve had a chance to check them, or if you have any additional questions or concerns.
@basandrai Have you had a chance to check the plugin requirements ?
