Cannot authorise Google Docs, JSON API option not showing

    I followed instructions at: https://themeisle.com/blog/import-from-google-docs-to-wordpress/

    I didn’t have the JSON module activated, got errors, then activated it and tried to authorise my self-hosted wordpress site. The options to turn on JSON in settings (not module) is not showing.
    Now I get:

    From google doc, authorise, can login, browser hangs, no error, returns to google doc.
    Running the GDOC add-on starts authorisation again.

    Howdy –

    We were unable to fetch the data from your Jetpack-powered site, the communication channel seems to be broken.

    Is the Jetpack plugin activated?
