Prior to the latest update, I could go to Advanced Settings > Jobs > Access to Jobs and run each of my backups manually.

I cannot do this now because the link is now “Access to Legacy Jobs”.

When I go to “Access to Legacy Jobs”, there are no jobs listed.

I followed the instructions from your “Important – Restore Your Legacy Jobs after BackWPUp 5.1 Update Issue” and when I go to “Access to Legacy Jobs”, still there are no jobs listed.

All the backups, including recent ones, are listed on the main Settings.

I need to be able to backup my sites when I want to, especially after posting several posts or adding pages and the “Backup Now” button only backs up to my server, not to the designated off-site location.

Why is there no way to manually backup to the off-site location anymore?

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing the details.

You’re right — currently, the “Backup Now” button only saves the backup locally. However, the ability to manually trigger backups directly to the designated off-site storage (like Dropbox, S3, FTP, etc.) is already planned and will be introduced this week with the next update.

We truly appreciate your patience, and we’re working hard to restore the full flexibility you expect from BackWPup!

Wow, a function that already existed no longer exists and will only be added in the future.

What was the purpose behind the 5.0 development? Important functions were removed in order to implement them again step by step?

BTW the week is over and I still can’t use the ‘BackUp Now’ function because I can’t upload the backups to my FTp server.

    Hi @superkev2k9,

The individual backup button is now available with latest release; refer to https://backwpup.com/backwpup-5-2/.

    Best Regards,

Can someone answer the “why” question?

There is a “Backup Now” button on both the Files and Database sections on the main area under “Next Scheduled Backups”.

It is a small rectangle with a “down-pointing arrow” above it. It is to the right of the date and and time.

When you select it, this message pops-up “Your backup will be created using the data and the storage location you selected for your scheduled backup” with a large green “Start” button.

It works fine. I have used it several times.
