    Hi

I recently had some problems with my menus which didn’t seem to link to the proper homepage. I tried changing the homepage through the Appearance > Homepage menu, but by clicking on ‘save’, the status of my homepage was changed from published to draft and my blog became my homepage.
I’m trying to change my homepage from the blog to my proper homepage now, but it doesn’t seem to be possible anymore. I’m using a custom homepage, not the one your theme supplied.

There’s also a dutch part of the website, which has the same problem.

In the ‘Pages’-view, I can see that my homepage is still set as ‘Front Page’, however it’s not appearing when I browse to my website: http://wobewo.be or http://wobewo.be/nl for the Dutch part.
    Instead my blog appears.
When you press ‘Home’, you will see what the homepage should look like.

Another problem I have is when I go to Appearance > Customize, the page keeps on loading forever and there’s nothing being displayed, so I can’t change anything there either.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards
    Nils

Also, my blog page is now empty.

The blog template has disappeared from the choices.

Same problem as one of your other members had:

Except that for me it has not reappeared yet in the Page Template choices.

    Hi @wobewo

Sorry I wasn’t able to reach out sooner. We’ve had higher than support volumes. Apologies for the delay.

Could you perhaps bring me up to speed with where you are now? Have you been able to resolve the above challenges?

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi Misplon

This time sorry for my delay.

I don’t remember what I did last month, but I managed to set the homepage to the static homepage again, so the ‘customize’ works and the blog page is showing again.
The only problem I’m having still is the homepage for the English part of the website won’t show when I’m not logged in. When I’m logged in as administrator, the English homepage shows perfectly, yet the normal visitor will get the blog first as homepage (even though in the settings, I clearly specified to show the static page as homepage).

    Any ideas?

Thanks for the update. Which translation plugin are you using? If it’s Polylang you’d need to dig around in it’s settings and make sure you have a static home page set for each language.

    Thanks for the reply.

I’ll contact the author of the Polylang plugin and get back to you. Because I can’t find that option in the Polylang settings.

    Try this:

    1. Go to Pages > Home, edit the page.
    2. Check the Polylang settings box in the right column. Is your home page linked to the NL home page? It needs to be.
